Boots has a long tradition of supporting education as part
of its contribution and commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility. Our involvement
in education helps to raise standards, increases awareness of the world of work
and motivates students to reach their full potential.
We provide schools with a wealth of information and ongoing
links to support curriculum delivery. We receive thousands
of enquiries from students, teachers and parents requesting
information to support their studies and in response to this
demand we embarked on the Boots Learning Store initiative.
Following extensive piloting with schools in Nottinghamshire,
Yorkshire and Airdrie and consultation with science advisors,
teachers, education specialists, suppliers and pupils, we
developed Boots Learning Store.
Boots Learning Store is an interactive educational resource
for pupils of all ages addressing issues of health, science
and wellbeing. The site has a comprehensive set of teachers'
notes, which are available to copy and executable files, which
can be downloaded onto school computer networks. The site
also has a parents section providing health information and
links to other health-related sites.
